1. Mothers love gold nest necklace - this necklace features a silver sterling plated mother/sparrow bird, hovering over her precious nest of eggs. The nest is woven out of 24 Gauge anti-tarnish gold plated wire, nestling 3 turquoise rounds. The pendant is attached to a 16.5 inch silver plated chain ending in a 3 inch silver extension chain with silver heart so as to adjust to desired length.

2. Mothers Love silver nest necklace: (3 swarrovski pearls, not one as pictured above). Description same as Gold Nest Mothers Love necklace but 24 Gauge Silver wire used for nest and 3 swarovski pearls instead of 3 turquoise rounds.

Hey guys, sorry I missed Day 6 & 7, I went for a little.. (who am I kidding, try 3 hour) horse ride up in Whittlesea for my future sister to be's birthday on the weekend. My horse, Cutter, often had a mind of his own and was very good at 'cutting' in and peeving off all the other horses! Had heaps of fun but I spent the rest of the weekend recovering from an aching body! It may be some time before this chickie get's back on a horse me thinks! Hope you all had a lovely weekend!

I was having a fairly horrid day today until I came across this amazing style blog like no other, 'Advanced Style' and it made me smile instantly. Just as normal fashion blogs capture the street style of the young and beautiful, Ari from 'Advanced Style' takes a different approach and captures the street style of the gorgeous and elderly. I only hope my outfits have this much pizazz, orginality and colour when I'm a grandma!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend, ours was very full, but none the less, fun!

Helping with a garage sale (I didn't mind, it was gorgeous weather!), attending Reg's presentation night, getting over a nice little hangover because of it and yesterday we both had the day off so we went down to the local thrift shop and donated some things we couldn't sell at the garage sale. I also bought more stuff from the same thrift store so defeated the purpose really..woops!

Just discovered this little store that celebrates the world's greatest stories on fabric.

Out of Print is a t-shirt store that sells shirts featuring iconic book covers of our time. Perfect combo if you love old books and unique tees! The best part is, for each shirt sold, one book is donated to 'Books for Africa' so everyone can share in the joy of books!

Reg's nephew's first birthday with family and friends on Sunday (can you keep a secret? We got him a cute pop-out Farm animal book and I made his card!).

Catching up with an old friend who will be back in town after living overseas...no doubt more drinks :)

Reg's birthday where we plan to spend most of the day in bed getting over hangovers and the rest of the time with his family.

A few people have been asking about how the proposal happened so here it is...

While we were in Port Douglas, we were lucky enough to meet Rex Lee (Lloyd) from the hit HBO series and our favourite show, 'Entourage'.

We were so excited, "You go say hi", "no you go say hi" went on for a little while between us, until Reg finally got up and introduced himself.

We spent the rest of the night drinking with him and asking, what I'm sure were annoying, work questions, but he seemed as though he didn't mind and was happy to answer them all!

Rex was super nice and un-be-known's to me of course, Reg worded Rex up that night how he was wanting to propose to me on our holiday.

We planned to visit Hartley's Croc Park that weekend so Reg invited Rex to come along. Reg is fascinated with wildlife and animals in general so it was no suprise he proposed to me at a wildlife park and he knew I wouldn't suspect it at all!

I think it went a little like this; Rex: taps on my shoulder, "I think Reg has something to tell you.." I turn to face Reg who is down on one knee, holding a box with a shiny ring. "Will you Marry me?" I say, "Omg! Omg!" (fifty thousand times) whilst slightly bouncing up and down in one spot, before Reg ask's, "So is that a yes?!" I scream "Yes!" followed by about 20 more "Oh my God's!"

Rex had a super bad hangover from the previous night's partying but was still kind enough to come with us that day and I am so thrilled that he had a part in our engagement!

Well, we are about to embark on the joy /nightmare of finding a house, eep! I should be looking at real homes we can afford and not dream home's like Rachel Bending 's (owner of Bird Textiles) in NSW, but it's just sooo lovely, look at that gorgeous verandah and sloping lawn. I hope we find somewhere that's lets us have chooks too!

Well I'm back and what a holiday! So many things to tell you, where to start? Well here is a list of some of the things we got up to:

Enjoyed many a day & night wining and dining in the main street of P.D (plenty of g.f options so I was happy)

Long and scenic bike ride through the town and down to 4 mile beach

Treking at Mossman Gorge (see image above)

Enjoying lazy afternoon swims in the resort's lagoon pool and sipping on cocktails from the swim up bar

Petted a baby croc at Hartley's Crocodile Adventure Park

Enjoyed a early morning horse ride on the beach in Cape Tribulation

Saw many animals and reptiles in their natural environment on a rainforrest night walk tour in Cape Trib (very eery!)

Walked the Dubuji boardwalk down to the beach

Visited the Daintree Discovery Centre where we walked among the tree tops

Caught up with my cousin's in Cairns who I hadn't seen for a while

Saw the beautiful Boulders at Babinda, South of Cairns

Got some great photo's of the Daintree River

Oh.. *smile* and Reg popped the question and I said Yes!!!

Hope you all had a lovely week and I highly recomend visiting North Tropical QLD if you get the chance, so beautiful.. and warm!

Apologies I just realised after posting my last entry how long it's been since I sat my toosh down and entered a post! What I'd love to tell you is I have been on a fantastic overseas trip that took me to some magical places and that's why my posts have fallen to the wayside but... alas, this is not the case. What I can tell you is, a lot of brainstorming and inspiration gathering has been going on lately which hasn't left much time for anything else but I can promise something exciting is coming soon! These images are from a 1961 Better Homes & Gardens Decorating Book that I found on vintage goodness. I'm personally not mad on the plaid wallpaper in a bedroom but it could work really well in a bathroom like this or a kitchen. I do however fancy that lime green dresser and that blue bedspread -do they still make this style bedspread, apart from the ugly floral ones? I also like the quirkyness of the cuckoo clock and use of the outdoor garden lights on the wall. *sigh* I love the 60's!

Well the market went fairly well considering the horrendous melbourne weather! Wind, rain and the coldest day since I can even remember! We ended up packing up early becuase we got tired of holding onto the marquee so it wouldn't fly away!! I think we were out of there by 11am so a big apology for anyone who came down to see us after that and a big thank you to everyone who braved the weather and did come down to say hi, I really appreciate your support!

I did just that about two weeks ago, I unplugged from my everyday life, my work, my computer (eep!) and managed to get away for a few days to Daylesford, a thriving little country town north east of Melbourne. It was incredibly relaxing and I got to take my new car on it's first long distance trip! Me and Reg had a ball, especially me as I did quite a bit of shopping while I was there! The place we stayed in was cosy and private and had an outdoor spa overlooking the rolling hills and bushland of Hepburn Springs. We were so sad to come back to Melbourne but will definantly be going back to visit! Stay tuned for pics!

I have a confession to make.. I am desperately hanging out for the premiere of 'Mad Men' on Australian T.V, so much so, that I'm thinking of buying Series one on DVD because I don't think I can wait till the 16th April! Mad Men is set in the boardroom of a New York 1960's advertising company at a time when the workplace was rife with casual racisim, non stop drinking all day, flirting, backstabbing and lot's of smoking.. my my how things have changed! I'm just into it for the eye candy really -fashion, set props and John Slattery (what, he's cute in a white haired kinda way, don't you think?!)
